The Northland Threshing Bee Association is a 501(c) non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation, restoration, demonstration, and display of machinery and everyday life of the pioneers so that our heritage will not be forgotten.

In the summer of 1965, Marshall Wiskow restored the old Case Steamer that had been used on the threshing circuit some 30 years earlier.  In October 1965, the Wiskow families and about 200 friends and neighbors gathered to watch the old-time threshing.  that was the beginning of the Northland Steam Threshing Bee.

By 1967, others were bringing equipment to show, so the operation was moved from the farmstead to the old sawmill yard, where it stayed for about 16 years.  In 1983, 25 acres (in the northwest corner of the southwest quarter of section 10) were deeded to the association.

Membership in the Northland Threshing Bee Association is open to anyone who is willing to spend time and energy to help.  All funds raised are used to repair and improve the buildings and grounds, as well as to acquire new items for display or demonstration purposes.
